“I am extremely appreciative of and satisfied with the legal services provided by Peter during the review of my physician contract. His strategic insights and proactive approach not only ensured my understanding of the legal intricacies but also empowered me to make informed decisions. I highly recommend Peter for his expertise, reliability, and unwavering commitment to client satisfaction.”

“Peter is an extremely talented and experienced professional who took the time to understand my situation and future plans. He worked over the weekend to help me formulate discussions with potential employers and helped me navigate the legal landscape. As a new graduate, his services are invaluable.”

“My transition from being a resident physician to a “practicing physician” was difficult, because I was not prepared for the business aspect of medicine. Amongst my various employment contracts, there were many legal implications and responsibilities that I inherently wasn’t aware nor prepared to handle. Luckily, I was introduced to Peter from a colleague and the rest was history. Working with Peter has truly been amazing. He is very intelligent, thorough, and takes time his time to interpret the legal verbiage utilized in contracts. He has great experience and is a paradigm of knowledge for new and established physicians and has a current grasp on the fair market value of physician contacts with their respective specialties. Peter has been very successful at renegotiating my contracts to reflect my best interest as a priority. He also was very effective in negotiating fair non-compete and termination clauses, competitive compensations, etc. His resourcefulness and realm of expertise has not only protected me, but it has also given me the confidence to start my own practice. Peter’s unyielding support and counseling as my business and legal advisor has organized and equipped my new practice to stand on its own. I am truly grateful to have Peter in my corner and will forever be indebted to him for his service.”

“After years of training, I was happy to finally have my first contract. It was extremely helpful to have Peter by my side when it was time to review and negotiate my contract for a tenured faculty position at a major academic institution. Not only was Peter instrumental in helping me to understand all aspects of the contract, but because of his extensive experience with physician employment contracts he was able to help me negotiate things I would not think of asking. Peter did such a great job that I have used him again for my second contract for an associate position at a large private practice group. With the majority of physicians leaving their first job, it’s important to have a physician contract attorney help you review your contract. Peter has extensive experience and I would highly recommend him.”

“I have worked as a nurse in various hospitals and have signed several contracts with my employers during the course of my career. Truth be told, I never read these contracts. I thought since I was working with large, reputable employers that their contracts would be fair to me so I did not bother to seek any legal help. I was wrong and naïve about the process. But when I became a nurse practitioner and was offered a position with a family medicine medical center as an independent contractor, I knew I had to be wiser. And hiring PT Law, PLLC was one of the best decisions I made. Peter helped me set up my legal entity and walked me through the whole incorporation process. It was a relief to have someone extremely knowledgeable by my side because I was clueless! Thereafter, Peter reviewed my contract with the medical center, and he suggested revisions that were for my benefit. In the end, my employer agreed with Peter’s proposed revisions, and I ended up with a much better employment package. I was not only happy to come on board, but I also had the peace of mind knowing the contract protected my interests as well.”

“It is a pleasure to write a review about my contract lawyer. It is nerve wrecking and futile to attempt an understanding of complicated medical contracts. Therefore, I highly recommend Peter to anyone who is about to sign into a commitment in the health care field. Peter is an astute, diligent, and professional contract lawyer; yet he’s laid back and very easy to talk to. His whole family (2 brothers, mother and father) are all in the medical field, so he has seen first-hand potential consequences of seemingly minor, hidden, and vague terminology that is buried in a 15-20 page contract. Not only did he help me understand my contract, but he gave solid advice on negotiating certain terms that were important to me personally, such as PTO time. Furthermore, Peter gave me a global outlook on how my contract compares with other contracts in the medical field. Working with Peter was truly a valuable experience, and I highly endorse his services for anyone who is about to sign a contract in the medical field. Peter is someone I would refer to my own family, as I have a sister who is graduating physician assistant school and my other sister is an optometrist.”

“I just completed my pain management fellowship and was eager to sign an employment agreement presented by a national healthcare services company. Fortunately, a family member advised me to have the contract reviewed by a lawyer, and I am glad that I did. The Physician Contract Lawyer identified for me a myriad of issues that I was not aware of nor could I have known because I was not versed in reading contracts. For example, although my job offer letter stated that I had a guaranteed term of employment, Peter pointed out that my actual employment contract stated that I could be terminated early upon the occurrence of certain specified events that were out of my control. Peter also counseled me on the meanings of certain provisions such as “restrictive covenants” and “confidentiality” obligations and “indemnification”. Most importantly, he suggested revisions to the contract to make the provisions fairer to me. For example, he revised the termination provisions to make it more difficult for my employer to terminate me. Even though my employer was represented by several attorneys, Peter was not intimidated and he fought hard on my behalf, and we won several important concessions from the employer that had great meaning for me. The benefits I received from the negotiation process greatly outweighed the amount of money I spent on legal fees. It was a win-win situation for me. When my contract was up for renewal six years later and the same employer presented me with a brand new employment agreement, I did not hesitate one second to engage Peter. Yet again, he advised me throughout the entire process, kept me informed, and negotiated a better deal for me than what was initially offered. Peter did a fantastic job for me, and I highly recommend him.”

Dr. Vince T.
“Whilst this was not my first time using a physicians’ contract attorney to review a contract, it definitely was the best experience I’ve had. The Physician Contract Lawyer was very upfront with the cost as well as the process. He took the time to actively listen and get to know me and my desires for a contract. He made great suggestions whilst asking for my opinion as well. Every revision made was not without a helpful explanation. He makes sure you are satisfied with the revisions before finalizing them.
I would definitely use him again for any physician legal service!”

“After I graduated from dental school, I was presented a job offer and a contract with a bunch of legalize that I did not understand or that I knew was too “one sided”. I did not want to get stuck in a bad situation so I knew I had to find an attorney to help me out. Frankly, I did an Internet search and found Peter’s website. After speaking with him, I was confident he could help me. Peter educated me on my compensation and benefits package and informed me of a few “traps” in the paperwork. He then proposed a few revisions to my contract and after a few back and forths with my employer, we agreed and signed on the dotted line. Several years later when I decided to start my own dental practice, I did not hesitate to contact Peter. He helped me to incorporate and set up my legal books. He helped me review the construction contract and architectural contract until I got my office building constructed. He helped me with an employee manual and various contracts like third party billing arrangements and most importantly, he drafted a contract for my own associate dentist. Peter is now my “go to” lawyer who I call for anything that comes up. It’s like I have my own general counsel in my office. And as a small business owner, things always come up, especially matters related to employees. Peter is always responsive, and he keeps things simple which is important to me.”

“I would highly recommend Peter to any physician in need of contract review. Peter reviewed my first contract when I was coming out of training. He was thorough and discussed every detail of my contract so that I understood exactly what I was getting before I signed. He is quick to point out any potential areas of concern based on his experience with similar contracts in the past. I thought he was very pleasant to work with and he was able to answer all my questions. He even suggested potential topics for negotiation with my employer. I was able to negotiate with my employer without requiring his services, but I would not have hesitated to use him in that regard if I absolutely needed it. I trust Peter’s work and had such a good experience that I have recommended him to my close friends undergoing the same process. I plan on using Peter again in the future for reviewing my contracts.”

“I was very nervous starting my first job out of residency, especially moving to a new state. My residency program has always emphasized having a lawyer look over your contract to avoid being taken advantage of, and I wanted to make sure that I was starting my career out right. Peter’s law firm offered the perfect combination of a reasonable turnaround time with affordable pricing. He was even willing to work with me on payment installments, as he knew I was still a resident. His assessment was very thorough, and I did end up being able to renegotiate key issues in my contract, including decreasing my non-compete radius and increasing my relocation allowance! I am so grateful to Peter for his help and expertise, and consider this money well-spent.”

“One of the best decisions I made in my professional career was to hire Peter to review and negotiate my employment contract. Like many physicians, after multiple years of school and training I felt well-prepared to handle the medical challenges that would come my way, but less confident regarding the intricacies that come with non-disclosure agreements, restrictive covenants, and other such details involved in employment agreements. However, Peter actively listened and frequently communicated with me throughout this process which allowed him to effectively convey the elements of the contract that were of most importance to me. Peter helped me to understand my contract and to provided me with the confidence I needed to know I would be in the best position possible starting as faculty. Peter is extremely knowledgeable, thorough, and dedicated. He is genuinely interested in making sure his clients are a priority. I plan on using Peter for any future employment contract negotiations. It is without hesitation I recommend Peter to anyone looking for a professional, conscientious, and experienced contract attorney.”

“Peter took all my apprehensions away when it came to reviewing a perm hospitalist contract. I had done solely locums work prior with contracts that were much simpler but the scope and ramifications of a perm contract had components that I wanted to fully understand and negotiate on; Peter spent ample time explaining the specifics and answered all my questions in full. I was fortunate enough to have multiple contracts to review and after my first contract, I didn’t hesitate to use his services for the second contract.”

“My wife and I had not used a physicians’ contract attorney before to review our employment contracts and we were very satisfied with the process and experience we had working with Peter. He is very knowledgeable about the process, patient to answer questions, and compels his clients to think what is best for their careers. At first I was overwhelmed with the legal medical process and verbosity of a long contract and Peter was able to break it down step by step with me while providing valuable legal advice. In the end, my wife and I felt more comfortable with our contracts and highly recommend him to other healthcare professionals based on his knowledge and expertise. I would definitely use him again for medical contract negotiation.”
